Brohm Lake and Cat Lake are very popular spots for visitors through the summer months, as a destination in themselves or en route to Whistler.

Both lakes are great swimming holes, with docks or rocky outrcrops to set up your picnic for the day, and are circled with hiking and biking trails. Get there early on hot summer days, both are popular spots, and rightly so.

In the winter months, Brohm Ridge (above Cat Lake) is the closest snowmobiling area to Squamish. Home to the Black Tusk Snowmobile Club and the mountain chalet they operate, the area is well set-up for a day or weekend of alpine sledding.

Directions:

15km north of Downtown Squamish. Head north on Highway 99, a few kiometers past town and past Alice Lake Provincial Park. You'll see a small sign for Cat Lake on your right, wher a gravel road winds a few km to the lake. On the left of the highway, 1 km further north, the Brohm Lake parking area is well marked.

For Brohm Ridge, take the Brohm Ridge FSR gravel road up as close as you can get to snowline (same Highway exit as for Cat Lake).
