In-SHUCK-ch Days is a celebration designed to enhance identity and pride within our communities while promoting our key traditions and values. This annual event brings together families, friends, youth and neighbours from the surrounding communities to showcase In-SHUCK-ch culture and recognize the significant accomplishments of our people.

Planned Activities at In-SHUCK-ch Days 2008:
• Drumming and singing
• Salmon Ceremony
• Dancers introduction and recognition ceremony
• Language display
• Cedar Weaving demonstration/display
• Traditional story-telling
• Traditional face painting
• Vendor booths
• Kid’s zone
• Games and races
• Bone Game competition
• Traditional dinner
• Career Fair
• Evening dance with live entertainment

Directions to In-SHUCK-ch Days 2008
1. Drive into Mount Currie.
2. Turn right at the church.
3. Drive for about 10 km along Lillooet Lake Road.
4. At Lillooet Lake watch for the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service
Road sign, turn right on this road.
5. Continue on the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road (Lake
Road) until you see the community of Skatin to your right at
48 km. You should also notice a church.
6. Continue along the road for about 1 km until you reach
the Head of the Lake School on your left. In-SHUCK-ch Days
festivities will be held at the school. The trip from Pemberton
to Skatin is approximately 1.5 - 2 hrs.
Use Caution. Remember that you will be driving on an active
forest service road.
