Test out the Test of Metal
You’ve heard of the Test of Metal.
It’s a grueling 67-kilometre mountain bike race with more than 1,200 metres of climbing and 35 kilometres of thrilling single-track. On June 16, 2012, a thousand of the hardest riding mountain bikers are going to challenge that course – are you one of ‘em? Whether you’re set to take the Test this year, or just curious about one of North America’s most kick-butt mountain bike competitions, you can always visit Squamish and take a rip around the famed course (or part of it!) without having to worry about other racers or beating the clock.
The race usually begins with a mass start a Brennan Park, but you can park just down the road at the Squamish Adventure Centre, grab a trail map, hop on your bike and be on some sweet singletrack in no time at all.
