Description: Though Half Nelson is getting most of the attention lately, Credit Line was the hottest trail for the last five years. Most pedalers coming from out of town to ride didn't care what they did as long as it included Credit Line at some point. Credit Line descends (mostly) for 2.0Km from Mike's Loop to Jack's Trail. Drop in and begin traversing along a historic road bed for 350m. A brief technical descent leads you to a short steep climb which is merely a prelude for what's to come. Shortly after this climb is a seemingly straightforward descent but, beware, it can get rutted and dusty below the builtup rock roller. The trick is to control your speed and be prepared for a hard left near the bottom. Once successfully negotiating the drop, riders are rewarded with a lung and quad busting, technical climb that seems to go on forever. Eventually it stops, and then it continues again for a little bit longer just for good measure. For 500m after the climbing has finished, the trail descends over various exposed rock rollers (some interesting off-camber lines), a great view of the Squamish River Valley, and a series of root drops. Once the trail swings back around southbound the grade begins to lessen and becomes a moderate, flowy, gradual descent to Jack's trail.

Once on Jack's trail, riders can go right to Alice Lake or, left to ride back towards the Highlands and towards Brackentrail (near the end of Jack's) which leads to Highway 99 and Brackendale.

Directions:

Credit Line starts off of Mike's Loop which can be accessed at Edith Lake. From Alice Lake riders can enjoy a lengthy, gradual climb up the park access road, which is one of the prettiest sections of dirt road in the area. Stay right at a significant intersection where Four Lakes trail heads north towards Fawn Lake, the park access road continues east towards the SORCA shelter between Rob's and Cliff's corners and a small section of road continues south to Edith Lake.

Alternatively, between September 15th and April 1st, mountain bikers are granted access to the Four Lakes network of trails. Riders choosing to ride the Four Lakes section from Alice to Edith Lake can expect a steep, arduous climb. There are four trailheads to the west of Edith Lake. From north to south they are: Four Lakes to Alice Lake, Mike's Loop, Mike's Loop - Alternate, and Tracks From Hell.

Four Lakes and Tracks are signed and should be obvious, but it's the two in the middle that can cause some confusion. Mike's Loop - Alternate is a technical, rooty climb that takes you to the bottom of Of Mice And Men Hill (a quick right followed by a left puts you on Mike's Loop proper) where the other is a more straight forward doubletrack approach. Stay right at the signed intersection with Of Mice And Men Hill to approach Credit Line (also signed) over moderate roots and rocks. Riders approaching from the Highlands commonly climb up Mashiter and take Tracks From Hell to Edith Lake.
